BULL-PACS - If you are a hunter, know a hunter or live with a hunter, we hope you will become a part of our home on the internet. We build the BULL-PAC as the one piece of hunting equipment that you will never have to worry about. Our pack frame is built with your back's safety and comfort in mind. This is what works best for us in loading the pack. It is designed to keep the load's center of gravity low on your back, so the weight it is approximately equalized between the shoulder straps and the belt. Ideally, the belt should ride on or, very nearly on, your beltline. Snug up that belt TIGHT, so it can assume its share of the load. After you tighten the belt, buckle the sternum strap so the pads come straight over your shoulders. Bring the pads forward and down so the sternum strap actually is at sternum level. This brings the pack in close to your back at the top as well as at the belt. Tighten the long straps at the bottom of your shoulder pads.
The loops at the bottom of your pack frame give you a grip to relieve the load as you tire. We've used them a lot on long packs or steep canyon packs.
Your pack should feel like an extension of your back, not just something hanging on you. We hope you will get more enjoyment and less pain as you pack.
