Lund Boats - At Lund we’ve earned our reputation by building the toughest, most durable boats in our industry.

Lund Boats - Since 1948, Lund has used aluminum because we believe it is the best boat-building material, bar none. It is lighter, stronger, easier to drive, easier to tow, more fuel efficient, better handling, more durable, and it requires less maintenance. We also double plate our hulls, but only bow to midship, because we’ve learned that any more weight will produce a deterioration in performance. We use rivets because they hold up better than any other fastening system – just look at any airplane or 18-wheeler for confirmation. And we use I-beams for strength and stability. There is no stronger structure, and any argument you hear is camouflage for the fact that I-beam construction is expensive and no company wants to make that expenditure if they haven’t already. Lund already has, and we add to it yearly. We consider it our investment in your satisfaction.

Lund uses double-riveted construction because it maintains the inherent strength of aluminum better than any other conventional connection method.
