Otter Bar Lodge Kayak School - We offer whitewater kayak instruction programs based out of our remote wilderness lodge on California's Salmon River. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned paddler looking to hone your skills, you will be treated to the finest instruction available, dine on exquisite cuisine, and stay in our spectacular lodge set amidst rolling lawns, towering forests, and the pristine Salmon River.

Fourteen guests stay at the lodge for a week at a time while advancing their kayaking skills with instructors renowned for their teaching and expertise. The student/instructor ratio is the best in the business. So is the location. Surrounded by Northern California's Klamath National Forest, Otter Bar occupies a swooping bend in the Salmon River between the Trinity Alps and Marble Mountain Wilderness Areas. While extremely isolated, you are well taken care of on and off the river.
