Snow Lion Expeditions

Snow Lion Expeditions - Adventure travel has been our business for twenty years.

Snow Lion Expeditions - Snow Lion offers a wide range of small-group scheduled departures and offers custom trip consultation and planning. In fact, 50% of our business is of the custom variety. Over the years, we have managed a wide range of exclusive custom trips like a walk from Mustang to Dolpo in October 2002 for a solo traveler who "didn't want to encounter anyone who had ever heard of Starbucks" or a corporate study tour to look into the personalities and policies of the Tibetan government-in-exile in September 2001. Snow Lion trips have been featured in many of America’s leading adventure travel magazines.

In addition to serving a wide-range of discerning individual travelers, our exclusive Asian focus has given us the opportunity to also work with a variety of institutions such as National Geographic Society (both magazine and television), University of Wisconsin, the University of Utah Medical Center, Red Butte Garden & Arboretum, Pasadena Art Center, Colorado Rocky Mountain School, the Wasatch Academy and Strong Capital Management.

Snow Lion has been noted in major daily newspapers across the United States including the New York Times, USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Detroit Free Press and San Diego Union. Snow Lion has also been featured in Outside, National Geographic Adventure and Men's Journal magazines.
